Cellulite Treatment

A slender swarthy woman in beige underwear sits on a white floor against a white background. Healthy lifestyle, sport and diet.

By the term cellulite, we refer to the accumulation of fat and water between the skin and the subcutaneous tissue. It is the biggest enemy for women as it gives the skin an “orange peel” appearance. This happens due to increased fat storage in the fat cells, resulting in a loss of elasticity in the connective tissue. The increased volume of fat cells impedes blood circulation, leading to the formation of cellulite. It is mainly found on the thighs, buttocks, stomach, belly, and upper arms.

Cellulite should not be confused with obesity, as almost every woman develops it at some point on her body, regardless of weight. In contrast, cellulite is rarer in men.

There are three stages in the development of cellulite.

Stage 1: The skin is smooth and shows cellulite only when pressure is applied.

Stage 2: Cellulite is visible when standing, without the skin needing to be pressed.

Stage 3: Cellulite is visible whether standing or lying down and is accompanied by pain.

What are the causes of cellulite?

It should be noted that cellulite is the result of many factors, which can be hereditary, pathological, or hormonal. Specifically, the factors that favor its development are as follows:

1

Unbalanced diet

2

Increased consumption of alcohol, soft drinks, and sweets

3

Reduced physical movement and activity

4

Heredity

5

Hormonal imbalances

6

Sudden fluctuations in body fat

Cellulite Treatment Options

Lymphatic Drainage Massage: Lymphatic massage helps eliminate toxins and reduce cellulite by breaking down fat cells.

Mesotherapy for Fat Reduction: The injection of local fat-dissolving agents and vitamins breaks down fibrous tissue and improves blood circulation.

Radiofrequency (RF): Ultrasound waves activate the production of collagen and elastin. However, a certain number of sessions are required depending on the extent of the problem and the stage of cellulite.

HIFU: Like RF therapy, HIFU therapy fights cellulite through high-intensity ultrasound waves. The skin tissues are heated, leading to the production of collagen and elastin, resulting in skin tightening and rejuvenation.

BodyForm: After 4 sessions, muscle strength increases by 19%. This is a modern, recent, effective, and safe treatment based on the application of a magnetic field to the affected area, causing intense muscle contractions. A 30-minute session is equivalent to 5.5 hours of continuous exercise.

Combination Approach: The best way to combat cellulite is to combine various treatments, drink plenty of water, maintain a healthy diet, and engage in physical exercise.”
